- Determine why you really want to lose weight. You need to have a very compelling reason so that you will not lose track of your goal and will succeed. Its usually more helpful to lose weight to improve your health than it is to lose it for your vanity.
- In addition to exercise, a healthy diet is needed so that you will have a more energetic body and be more positive every day.
- The goal is to lose your fat, not just overall weight. So by doing strength training during your weight loss program (which helps tremendously), you might gain weight at first but don't worry! You have likely lost fat and gained muscle. Muscle is denser than fat and is of course much healthier.
- Don't skip meals . . . that only makes your body retain fat for energy. A good weight loss plan includes eating healthily and exercising regularly.
- To keep on losing weight fast - eat a lot of different foods. Much like in weight training, your body adjusts to the same routine and reaches a plateau. Change up the food you eat to maintain your high metabolism and prevent reaching a metabolism plateau.
